Blind Date By Bambi

"Han," Leia glared at her husband, hands on hips. "Luke is going to strangle you when he discovers what you have done. You should know better than to meddle in his personal life."

"What personal life?! He ain’t got one honey. Hey," Han raised his voice slightly. He wasn’t going to be blamed for something Leia had hinted at for months. "Aren’t you the one who’s been complaining lately about the lack of ‘female companionship’ in Luke’s life?!"

"Yes," Leia defended herself. "But you had no right to do this to him." Leia believed what she was doing was right, and that Han had no idea what kind of woman Luke deserved.

"Me?! What about you? He ain’t goin’ for any of those women you’ve picked out for him." Han smirked. "It’s just lucky I met up with Ileana again. She’s perfect for him. She’ll keep him on his toes."

"Any friend..." Leia began.

"Acquaintance," Han interrupted.

Leia took a deep breath. "Any acquaintance of yours is most definitely no good for Luke."

"I was good enough for you, wasn’t I?" Han grinned. He had finally beat Leia at her own game. Or so he thought.

"How do you know Luke doesn’t like any of the women I’ve picked out?" the Princess frowned.

"For that reason exactly. You picked them out, honey," Han pushed. "You see him at these little dinners you have. He squirms and gets out of here as quickly as he can without insulting you and your guests."

Leia huffed.

"Listen, sweetheart." Han held up a hand, not wanting to see his wife display her Skywalker temper. "I know Luke doesn’t want any well-to-do woman, born to wealth and position. Those are the people you know. He needs a woman to keep up with him, Han grinned wickedly, "in more ways than one."

Leia stared at him open-mouthed.

"An’ Ileana," Han smiled, "is just the woman to do it."

"Han," Leia protested, "she’s a smuggler."

"Not anymore. She’s gone legal. She’s workin’ for me now."

"I’m sure," Leia replied sarcastically, her eyes wide. "Hey, I ain’t payin’ her to see Luke," Han started. "She wanted to do it. But... I did give her one assignment."

"Which is?" Leia’s tone was deadly.

"To catch that overly serious brother of yours and take him out on a date. A real date."

"How could you do this?" Leia scolded, lowering her voice slightly, not wanting to wake the baby asleep in the next room.

"He’ll love her. Believe me. NO man can resist that woman." Leia’s temper flared, but she kept it in check as best as she could. "Even you?"

"Hell no woman," Han smiled. "She’s not my type. I go for rich Princesses."

"Well," Leia softened a bit. Now knowing that Han had not used this woman then sent her off to use Luke. "I want to meet her first."

"Sorry," Han shook his head, and stretched out on the soft couch. "Too late. I sent her to his quarters."

"What! You didn’t." Leia stood over him threateningly. "Tell me you didn’t."

"Believe me," Han laughed, "that little brother of yours ain’t gonna know what hit him. Besides Ileana..."

"Han," Leia glanced at the wall chrono, " Luke has a council meeting with me in an hour, he should be getting ready now."

Han smiled.

"But you knew that, didn’t you?" It hit Leia like a smack in the face.

"Umhum," he nodded. "No man can resist her. She’ll rid him of his modesty real quick."

"Luke is going to kill you, Han," Leia remarked softly.

"No he ain’t. He’s gonna thank me. Just you wait an’ see."

* * * * *

Ring. Ring.

He barely heard the door chime over the sound of the shower. Luke Skywalker muttered a few choice words to himself as he wrapped a thick towel around his slender waist and went to answer the door. ‘If this is Leia, coming to escort me to the Senate meeting...’ he thought as he neared the door. ‘I will kill her!’

Luke’s breath caught in his throat as he gazed at the beautiful woman standing in the doorway. ‘This is not Leia,’ Luke smiled to himself. ‘She must be lost."

"Umm..." Luke stammered, "who... are..." He then remembered the towel and how funny he must look to her. His hands moved quickly to hold the loosened cloth more securely around his waist. "What are you...?"

The woman smiled, her eyes roaming up and down the Jedi’s lean, muscular frame, like a womprat stalking its prey.

Luke fought hard to keep his body from reacting to the visual stimulation, but this woman’s eyes were having an effect on him like no other. He just hoped she didn’t notice. "Approve?" Luke asked, not able to think of anything else to say. He turned crimson when he realized what he’d said.

"Oh, yes," the woman breathed, her green eyes dancing. "I’m Ileana Ka’ahn." She extended her hand to the dripping wet Jedi.

"Ummm." Luke took the slender hand in his, squeezing slightly. These did not feel like the hands that should go with the beautiful face. The hand was calloused, as if she had worked hard all of her life. Luke wondered what this woman did for a living. "I’m Luke..."

"I know." Ileana smiled sweetly.

"Oh, uh..." Luke released her hand, cursing his awkwardness. He never felt comfortable around women. "Why?..."

"Han mentioned..."

"Han what?" the Jedi asked.

"He mentioned that you were looking for someone to go out with tonight and since..."

Ileana was getting the feeling that Luke had no idea that she was coming. "And since he and I are old friends, he thought... Han said he would take care of it." She finished, looking confused.

"Oh," Luke raised an eyebrow, for the first time noticing Ileana’s outworld accent.

"I see you know his reputation," Ileana smiled. "But no, we were never an item. Just old friends."

"I’ve yet to meet a female friend of Han’s that he never sl..." Luke let his words trail off.

"Well, you have now."

Luke nodded.

"I’m sorry. I thought Han had told you about me," Ileana stated.

"No," Luke brushed a strand of wet hair from his eyes. "He didn’t." "Well, I can come back..." She turned to leave.

"Wait, as long as you’re here," Luke shrugged, stepping after her. He didn’t want her to leave. ‘The meeting can wait,’ he thought.

She turned to face him, that one action placing her mere inches from his wet body. Ileana’s spacer instincts screamed at her to touch him. That he wouldn’t resist. But herfemale intuition warned her not to push too fast. She ignored the latter and batted dark eyelashes at the Jedi.

"Well... I’d... better..." Luke cleared his throat.

"Get dressed," Ileana finished for him. ‘I’d much prefer you this way though,’ she thought as she brushed past him and into the spacious sitting room. She stretched, catlike, out on the long, soft cushions of the couch. "I’ll wait here," she told him, thinking that she’d much rather follow him, and watch.

"Alright." Luke held the towel as he raced, with as much dignity as possible, for the bedroom. He didn’t notice the woman’s approving eyes following him all the way to the door.

Ileana smiled as the door shut quietly behind him. ‘Oh, goddess, is he handsome,’ she whispered to herself. ‘Han didn’t tell me he had such a gorgeous brother-in-law. He’s a little scrawny,’ Ileana grinned, leaning further into the cushions, ‘but I can take care of that.’

She glanced around the room, appreciating the Jedi’s taste in decor, until her eyes came to rest upon, what appeared to be, a black cape. Ileana reached for it, her hand sliding gracefully across the soft fabric. ‘I wonder if you are this soft?’ she thought. ‘Iwouldn’t doubt it, with that baby face. But...’ She smiled widely as another thought came. ‘I hope you are not this soft all of the time.’ Ileana lifted the material and brushed it across her cheek. She picked up on a light scent and breathed deeply. A warmth settled over her, and she dropped the cape, shocked.

"Well, Ileana Ka’ahn," Luke said from behind her, "I hope I look a little better now?"

Ileana lifted her head slowly, her green eyes glaring wickedly at him. "You looked just fine before."

Luke blushed slightly and looked at his boots. He hoped she was not just interested in bedding him. That would be a waste of good company.

Ileana grinned at his modesty. ‘I’ll have to relieve him of that... and soon,’ she thought, offering her arm. He took it and led her out of his quarters for their ‘date’.

The Senate meeting was forgotten as Luke asked the beautiful woman on his arm. "What would you like to do tonight?"

Ileana smiled slyly and Luke had the slight feeling that he was in a bit over his head with this woman. But then again, that’s what Han had planned for all along.

"I’m sure we can find something to do," Ileana whispered hotly in his ear.

Luke took a deep breath. This was certainly going to be an interesting night. He might even learn something. After all, to be a Jedi Master you must constantly learn. And he could feel that this woman definitely had things to teach.
